We are a registered charity providing news from East Shropshire and beyond in a weekly audio digest, enabling the visually impaired to gain access to local & national stories.
Our presenters are volunteers who read extracts from newspapers, general interest articles, and participate in interviews with celebrities.
The weekly compilation is professionally studio-recorded and distributed around the region and beyond.
Our recordings are distributed on USB memory sticks, which enables our listeners to enjoy our publication on a variety of devices specifically designed for the blind and partially sighted community.
How it works
Our editors hand-pick new and exciting articles from a wide array of local press from the East Shropshire area. We work closely with publishers such as the Midlands News Association to ensure that our articles are fresh off the press.
We also have general interest discussions, and even interviews with celebrities!
Once we’ve narrowed down the selection, our volunteer readers get to work recording the selected items in our own digital recording studio.
The final edited recording is checked and then distributed via memory sticks around the county of Shropshire and beyond.
Can you help?
